The countdown has begun for the replacement of CHIEF with the Customs Declaration Service, or CDS, which goes live in August 2018. Here at Langdon Systems, we are dedicated to helping all our customers meet the necessary requirements for the biggest change to customs declarations in 25 years.

On Wednesday 11th July we are hosting an exclusive customers event ‘The Impact of CDS and Brexit’ which is designed to give insights into the changes we are making to our system as a result of the new CDS platform and how these changes will impact the day-to-day operations of our clients’ businesses.

The event, hosted at DW Stadium in Wigan, welcomes senior guest speakers from the HRMC CDS Customs Transformation team, along with key members of the Langdon Systems European teams from the
UK and Netherlands offices to give a rounded perspective on what CDS will mean to our customers and the insights we can share into Brexit to help kickstart preparations.

Paul Carroll, Managing Director, has said ‘We are looking to reassure our clients and offer certainty in what is a very difficult and challenging time of transformation, we will look to leverage our position on the pilot scheme to be first to market deliver the first fully operational solution in the UK’.

Within Langdon Systems our primary focus is on supporting this migration:

  • 3 years of CDS experience in the Netherlands
  • First CDS application in the UK
  • Asked by HMRC to be on Pilot scheme
  • First to go live in 2018
  • The only dedicated cloud solution in the UK

We’re looking forward to welcoming our customers on the day and affirming our position within the Customs arena as a trusted partner.
