Langdon Systems have traditionally developed systems to enable companies to deal with their own duty management requirements, from their own premises. This approach has been taken with Langdon's latest addition to the Duty Management System, the NES module.
The NES module enables a company to use the Local Clearance Procedure (LCP) while submitting their declarations using the Full Pre-Entry method. Using these elements from NES means a company makes a single declaration to Customs from their premises. Once permission to progress is received from Customs a company can confidently move the goods to the port or airport to await exportation, having completed their legal obligations under NES. Using LCP also fits in with Customs plan to increase the number of inland declarations, thus reducing the burden at the frontier port or airport.
