The Langdon NCTS Outbound module enables a company to operate NCTS Simplified Procedures as an Authorised Consignor. This enables the NCTS outbound procedures to be carried out at your own premises without the need to present the goods and corresponding documents at the Office of Destination. When using NCTS electronic messages need to be sent to, and received from, NCTS. Firstly a message is sent which informs NCTS that a consignment is ready to depart and provides details of the goods to be shipped, the transport, carrier and route to be used etc. NCTS will respond with an acceptance message that states that the details are on the NCTS system and issues a Movement Reference Number (MRN). The MRN is used to reference the consignment while NCTS procedures are carried out. NCTS will then check the information provided and if everything is fine will send a clearance to depart message. Upon receipt of this the required documentation that accompanies the consignment can be created and the goods can be physically dispatched. After the goods arrive at their destination and the NCTS arrival procedures are completed NCTS sends the dispatcher a message informing them that the goods arrived OK and the NCTS guarantee has been written off. As well as the sending and receiving of electronic messages the Outbound module offers additional functionality. The data used to create the messages can either be downloaded from a commercial system or manually input and is validated before a message is sent. The module also enables the procedures to be carried out for the different NCTS scenarios that may be encountered e.g. NCTS rejecting a message. As well as being a tried and tested NCTS solution, currently being used by our clients in the Netherlands, the Langdon NCTS Outbound module offers the following benefits:
