Langdon Systems developed e-CFSP in 2001 to deliver to the UK market an internet based solution for the SME market for generating electronic declarations using Customs Freight Simplified Procedures (CFSP). Up to this point most of the companies using CFSP were large corporates with the necessary budgets for the hardware, software and maintenance costs of traditional software solutions. Accessed through a browser, e-CFSP offered a low cost, Customs compliant solution enabling companies to take advantage of the benefits of CFSP.
Initially aimed at warehousekeepers moving to CFSP it enables Supplementary Declarations Warehouse (SDW's) to be electronically sent to Customs after goods have been removed from a Customs Warehouse. Following its successful introduction, e-CFSP was extended to enable those companies importing goods into the UK to use it to make Supplementary Declarations Import (SDI's).
e-CFSP has been designed to include full import and Customs Warehousing functionality for a wide range of products which can be accepted by CHIEF. This includes all dutiable products as well as excise goods including wines, beers, spirits and tobacco and common agricultural goods (CAP).
e-CFSP is also one of the very few approved systems that supports the Single European Authorisation (SEA) and is currently being used by a major international client to report its imports in the UK and The Netherlands through the UK Customs Computer CHIEF. This has been in successful operation since January 2002.
For the third party logistics operator looking to manage their clients Customs reporting more cost effectively, e-CFSP has been further enhanced to meet this requirement.
e-CFSP has always been, and remains, the ideal solution for companies utilising CFSP. Whether a company is new to CFSP or is looking for a more cost effective means of handling CFSP declarations contact us today for more information. Alternatively logon to the e-CFSP test area for a free trial.
