High Security
All communication between server and client is encrypted with 128-bit SSL or RC5 128-bit high encryption. The servers are hidden behind an advanced firewall (Check Point Firewall-1) in their own private network. Data upload to the server is secured using industry standard 128-bit SSL encryption, whereas screen/keyboard/mouse communications are secured using RC5 128-bit high encryption over RDP.
Low Bandwidth Consumption
Because there is no data travelling across the network, bandwidth consumption is very low. A user session typically consumes 20-50kbps. The application responds to user input very quickly. Even a 56k modem dial up connection provides a usable response. Broadband or faster connections are recommended for heavy usage.
High Scalability
All new systems are of course sized for user numbers and data loading prior to installation. But over time the load on the system is likely to increase from a combination of increased user numbers and/or transaction volumes and/or data volume generally. DMS R3 can accommodate this growth in a number of ways including:
Adding additional servers to take advantage of DMS R3's n-tiered client server features
Adding additional features e.g. Load-Balancing (auto connecting users to the least busy server)
Low Cost of Maintenance
DMS R3 Web is installed centrally on the application server. Any configuration changes or software updates are done only once on the server. The client machines do not require any form of attention. Since virtually all client machines have a web browser pre-installed, the only configuration required is the simple print-over-internet client software, which does not require any user interaction. This makes DMS R3 Web very easy to deploy.
